This is offered as a 2.5 hour stand-alone session for attendees to gather information to make a decision on whether they would like to take the CiLCA qualification and whether they would like to enrol on the Hampshire ALC Training & Mentoring programme to support them in completing their CiLCA Portfolio.
Cemetery Management & Compliance
This course deals with common problems, issues and mistakes and the costs that can be realised by burial authorities. The course will tell you how to avoid these costs and create potential new income streams. This course is run over two consecutive half days. Intro to Local Council Finance for Officers
An introductory session for Clerks and Officers designed to give to an overview of the Councils' duties regarding financial management and the role of the Responsible Financial Officer.
Managing Disciplinaries and Grievances
This course will develop skills for those tasked with dealing with disciplinary and grievance matters within their council. It is aimed at both both staff members in management roles and also councillors who are members of staffing (or similar) committees. The course covers - dealing with employee conduct, - how to carry out investigations, - managing disciplinary/grievance hearings - dealing with appeals.
Year End for Councillors
This 2.5 hour interactive session covers various aspects of the Year End, Internal and External Audits.
