Our member services team are your primary point of contact. With 30 years of experience, they’ll ensure you always get the support you need.

Operations

Our operations team co-ordinate the day to day running of the organisation, including the planning and organising of our training and events.

Amy is a CiLCA qualified Clerk with over 15 years’ experience within the local government sector. She has been working for HALC since 2017 originally supporting members via the Member Services Helpdesk providing advice and training provisions. She now supports our Chief Executive and Board of Directors as Company Secretary, as well as maintaining and developing the organisation’s systems as Operations Manager.

Sharon is an HR Professional with over 20 year’s experience in a variety of senior HR roles in both public and private sector organisations. She has been working with the LCPD service since 2017 and has gained a lot of knowledge and experience of the local council sector during this time. She runs her own HR Consultancy working with a variety of organisations and now heads up the LCPD service on behalf of HALC. Sharon holds a degree in Hotel and Tourism Management, a post graduate diploma in Personnel and Development and is a Chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (the Human Resources professional body in the UK). She has a lot of experience in operational and strategic HR including Employee Relations and Employment Law.

Sarah had a varied administrative background, within the Financial, Industrial and Marking and Advertising sector before joining the Local Government sector. With over 10 years’ recent clerking experience, and CiLCA qualified, she offers a wealth of knowledge and understanding as Member Services Manager. Sarah is a full-time member of staff and keen to ensure that our members receive a good service, and is on hand to offer close interface with all member councils wanting advice, support and training. Sarah also has responsibility for the service offered BALC members.
