Hybrid working between the Parish Council Office, Brookley Road, Brockenhurst with the opportunity for some home working.
Salary:
NALC pay scale 17 currently £15.58 per hour.
Hours:
Between 15 – 20 hours per week.
Our council and the role:
Brockenhurst Parish Council is located within the New Forest National Park.
The council employs a part-time clerk, part-time assistant clerk and two part-time groundmen and wishes to recruit a new part time Responsible Finance Officer & Clerk to the Planning Committee.
Duties will include:
- Ensure the effective control of all the Council’s financial affairs, including payroll, and both internal and external audit
- The role will also include being the clerk to the planning committee. Duties will involve collating information for the monthly agenda, attendance at the meetings and typing the minutes
The ideal candidate will have/be:
- The successful applicant will preferably hold an accounting qualification e.g. AAT Level 4 and will be fully conversant with commercial accounting software. Experience of Management and Year End.
- Accounts is essential and a knowledge of local government and charity accounting would be an advantage.
