Location:

Hybrid working between the Parish Council Office, Brookley Road, Brockenhurst with the opportunity for some home working.

Salary:

NALC pay scale 17 currently £15.58 per hour.

Hours:

Between 15 – 20 hours per week.

Our council and the role:

Brockenhurst Parish Council is located within the New Forest National Park.
The council employs a part-time clerk, part-time assistant clerk and two part-time groundmen and wishes to recruit a new part time Responsible Finance Officer.

Duties will include:

  • Ensure the effective control of all the Council’s financial affairs, including payroll, and both internal and external audit

The ideal candidate will have/be:

The successful applicant will preferably hold an accounting qualification e.g. AAT Level 4 and will be fully conversant with commercial accounting software. Experience of Management and Year End Accounts is essential and a knowledge of local government and charity accounting would be an advantage.
